Caring for Your Jewels ✨

Each b’n’c piece has been lovingly handcrafted with intention, designed to be your lifelong companion. With a little care, your jewels will continue to hold their shine and energy for many years.

General Wear

    •    Waterproof silver: Our sterling silver is safe for everyday water (showers, hand washing, ocean dips). Please avoid pools, spas, and chlorinated water, as chlorine will damage both stones and silver.

    •    Remove your jewels for heavy chores, workouts, or sleep to avoid pressure on delicate settings.

    •    Think of your jewellery as the last thing to put on and the first thing to take off each day.

    •    Silver is a soft metal — avoid dropping or rubbing against hard surfaces to prevent scratches, chips, or bends.

    •    Store pieces in their box or pouch, away from damp and direct sunlight.

Special Care

Gold Plating

Gold plated jewels are best for occasional wear. Exposure to water, chemicals, or daily friction will naturally wear the plating over time, revealing the silver beneath. This is normal and not permanent.

✨ We offer gold plating at an additional cost of $30. Please note, plating may need refreshing in the future depending on wear.

Brass

Brass naturally develops a warm patina over time. Keep it for a vintage look or restore shine with a brass polish.

Huggies

Always release from the back of the hoop — never force open from the front. If they loosen, gently lift the end of the post to realign with the clasp.

Stones

    •    Avoid chlorine, spas, and harsh chemicals around stone-set jewellery.

    •    Natural stones can chip or scratch if knocked.

    •    Some may fade slightly with strong UV exposure — treat them as the treasures they are 🌙.

Cuffs

Slide cuffs on and off from the narrow side of the wrist. Avoid stretching or squeezing them, as this weakens the band and settings.

Cleaning

    •    Use a soft silver polishing cloth for silver and brass.

    •    Brass can be refreshed with a brass polish.

    •    Avoid dips or ultrasonic cleaners — these can loosen or damage stones.

    •    Do not polish gold-plated pieces, as this removes the plating.
